About

The Tioga County Open Door Mission is a faith based organization and is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The Mission and its second location, The Red Door, have provided housing, clothing, food and other financial assistance to the disadvantaged and needy families in Tioga County and surrounding areas since 1968. The Mission supports the shelter and all of its outreach programs through the proceeds from its two thrift stores, grants, and private donations.

Owego Hours
Donations accepted Monday through Saturday from 9AM-4PM.

Our Outreach Department is open 10-Noon, and 1-4:30 every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Our Thrift Store is open Monday-Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 8:30am-5:00pm, Thursday 8:30-8:00pm

Our Thrift shop offers 10,000 square feet of shopping! We have clothing bag sales on Tuesdays from 11AM -2PM, and on Thursday nights from 5-7:30 PM. Grab a fabric bag from the front counter and fill it with clothing for just $12.50! 2 bags per customer--some items excluded.
*We welcome donations, and a truck is available for pick-up of furniture and appliance donations.  Other items can be dropped off at our covered donation area outside of our thrift shop between the hours of 9AM and 4:00PM.

Lockwood Hours:

Our renovations are now complete!   The food pantry is open the third Friday of each month from 10AM-1PM.  The new community room offers meeting space for recovery, community, and non-profit groups. Another Door Opens can also be rented for religious services, family events, community meals, rummage sales, and weddings.   We look forward to sharing this space with the community!

We are open for your enjoyment! Our staff has recently renovated our shop, enlarging the cafe/meeting area. Come check out our new fresh look! Shop, visit with friends, or get on the WIFI... it's just a really cool place.

Enjoy coffee, pastries, and popcorn as you browse the collection of books, jewelry, artwork, and household items.

Our popular 'Open Mic' night, an alternative to the bar scene,is on Saturday afternoons.  Everyone can bring their own instruments and jam together!
We also offer meeting space both upstairs and down for recovery and organizational meetings. If your group needs a space to gather, get in touch with us!

We will gratefully accept donations every Friday at the Red Door during opening hours.  We accept gently used furniture, clothing, knick knacks, appliances, kitchenware, and so much more!  Be sure to check out our Do Not Accept list on our website under the "Give Today" heading before you come.
